Just 2 weeks away from the wedding day, our pastor had informed us that we needed to secure this request form from the LCR Marriage Department since we were going to wed outdoors (in other words outside the Church).
Thinking it was only a form we needed to get from the LCR and our pastor even said we could get it right away, we went to LCR Marriage Dept 2 days after. Then, to my horror, we were told that they do note release such form. The staff we talked to said that the said request should be written by us, the couple. It freaked me out that this little detail of a request form will ruin our planned wedding.
So I searched the internet again for help and found out that I had to write a letter request addressed to the officiating pastor, requesting him to celebrate the wedding outside the Church premises. Some comments on the wedding forum that I saw even said that the letter needed to be notarized.
So I prepared the letter request and we signed it. I gave it to our pastor which he gave to the officiating pastor. The next day, he informed me that the request letter was already good and everything was okay.
For a moment I had totally lost hope that the wedding would push through, but thank God everything went well and ended well.
So for all couples planning to wed outdoors, make sure you know what are the required documents ahead of time so that you wouldn't have difficulty processing your marriage contracts after.
